Fishing Trips

With Snappercatchers Fishing Charters your trip will be operated by an experienced skipper and fisherman to make sure you enjoy your fishing experience.  On board we have electronic fish finding equipment.

If you require fishing equipment, you can hire your rods from us and we also supply bait (for pricing see “rates”).
On board tea and coffee are complementary and the use of the BBQ is free of charge.

The emphasis is definitely on catching snapper, but there are a vast variety of fish species given the highly fertile reef structure scattered throughout the Hauraki Gulf, we frequently catch many different species such as, Trevally, John Dory, Kahawai & King Fish. 

The fish move into the inner harbour during the summer months, enabling you to experience some amazing fishing so close to Auckland city.  During the winter months the water temperature cools and the fish move a little further out to the inner gulf islands and although the trip is longer you get to take in much more of our outstanding waters and beautiful scenery.

Full Day Trip is a great way to have a full day experience out on the water fishing. This trip gives you a good chance to relax and make the most of you day out. The full day trip runs for 9 hours, from 7.00am to 4.00pm. To make a booking enquiry go to “Bookings”.

Half Day Trip is a great trip if you want a fun fishing trip without the full day time commitment.  The half day trip runs for 4.5 hours. Trip commencement times are subject to availability and can be mutually agreed.  To make a booking enquiry go to “Bookings”.

Evening trip runs during New Zealand Daylight Saving time. The evening trip runs for 4. 5 hours, from 5.30pm to 10.00pm. A change of time may be flexible depending on availability.  To make a booking enquiry go to “Bookings”.

Location

Our fishing charters depart from Z Pier, Westhaven Marina, Auckland City.  For a detailed map of directions, go to the “contact” page.  We may also be able to pick up from other marinas, please “contac” us today for more information.
